Privacy Policy
StartHub values your privacy. This policy explains how the app collects, uses and protects your data. By using the app you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
Local storage only
All data is stored on your device. Config, logs and icon cache live in the local Application Support directory (inside the sandbox container) and are never uploaded to any server.
No personal data
StartHub does not collect or transmit your name, location, browsing history or any personally identifiable information. There is no account system and no registration required.
Network use is limited to icon fetching
When you add a "Web" launcher, the app requests the site's favicon for display purposes only; no other information is sent. Related cache is removed when the launcher is deleted. Everything else works fully offline.
Permissions for local features only
The app does not request sensitive permissions such as Accessibility; the global shortcut is registered at the system level without reading your data. If you choose to run scripts in Terminal, the app may control the Terminal app through the system's Automation permission — only after you opt in, and only to run the scripts you configured.
Purchases
VIP is processed entirely by Apple's App Store; StartHub never touches your payment information. Purchasing is entirely your choice, and purchases can be restored at any time.
Data safety
If the config is corrupted, the app backs up the original file and restores defaults; the backup stays on your device. You can export a full backup or restore it anytime under Settings → Data.
