SFEmoFinder Privacy Policy

SFEmoFinder is a macOS app for searching SF Symbols and Emoji characters. We value your privacy. This app does not collect, upload, or track any personal information, and your usage data stays on your own device.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any information that identifies you personally, and we do not require you to register or sign in. In particular:

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or device identifiers;
• We do not collect your searches, browsing activity, or usage behavior;
• We do not include any advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or behavior-tracking SDK;
• We do not track you across apps or websites.

2. Purchases & Payments

SFEmoFinder offers a one-time purchase to unlock the Pro version. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit):

• Payment transactions, card details, billing, and receipts are handled by Apple; we cannot access or store your payment information;
• “Restore Purchases” works through Apple to restore items you have already bought;
• Apple’s handling of purchase-related data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

3. Local Data

The data you create within the app is stored only on your Mac and is never uploaded to a server (in fact, the app has no server that collects this data):

• Your favorite symbols, custom folders (projects), and search history are saved through on-device storage;
• This data never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the app;
• The built-in symbol database is a static resource bundled with the app for symbol lookup and contains no personal information.

4. Networking & Third-Party Services

The app contains no advertising and does not integrate any third-party analytics, statistics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDK. The only system-level network interaction during use comes from Apple’s StoreKit framework for in-app purchases, which Apple handles under its own privacy policy. Other than that, the app does not initiate network requests involving your personal data.

5. Data Security

Because your personal data does not leave your device, the app relies on system protections such as the macOS App Sandbox to isolate local data. We cannot access your favorites or searches over the network.

6. Children’s Privacy

The app is suitable for all ages and does not collect personal information from any user, including children. In-app purchases are subject to Apple’s parental controls such as Purchase Sharing, Family Sharing, and Screen Time.

7. Your Rights

Because we do not collect your personal data, there is no need to request access to, export, or deletion of personal data from us. You can delete your favorites and search history within the app at any time, or remove all local data by deleting the app.

8. Changes to This Policy

If the app’s features change in the future (for example, if cloud sync is added), we will update this policy and revise the effective date. The latest version published on this page applies.
